Dr. Ashish Abraham, MD
– Board Chair

Dr. Ashish Abraham is an entrepreneur and a healthcare management executive with more than 20 years of diversified experience in clinical care, healthcare operations, technology, data analytics and strategic consulting for government and commercial clients. Dr. Abraham is currently the President and Co-founder of Foresight Health Solutions, a machine learning and AI healthcare analytics company. He also is the owner and principal of Abraham Strategic Health Consulting, a boutique firm that offers consulting services in the areas of organizational strategy, health technology, telehealth, health program design, operations, quality measurement and analytics. In 2007, Dr. Abraham co-founded Altruista Health, an industry-leading, person-centered care management technology and analytics company and served first as the CEO and then as the President and Chairman of the board and is still actively involved as a board director under its new ownership. The company today serves clients in 35 states across a population of 50 million individuals.

Prior to founding Altruista Health, Dr. Abraham served as the Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of United Health Group’s Medicaid Management Services Division. As the head of this organization, he successfully led health plans and programs for vulnerable and chronically ill patients in seven states, increasing revenues by 150%. He also led the effort to attain NCQA accreditation for the Medicaid division within United Health.

 

Romina Kiryakous is the founder and CEO of Genesis Behavior Centers, a program dedicated to treating children with autism.  Founded more than 18 years ago, the Centers celebrate many success stories.  FirstPath founder Romina Kiryakous is a pioneer in autism treatment who has dedicated her career to developing innovative treatments for even the most challenging cases of autism. Romina earned her master’s degree in psychology, with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

The focus of her doctoral dissertation was research in psychology and the theory of mind. She was inspired by the remarkable treatment results achieved by ABA pioneer O. Ivar Lovaas. With over a decade of research and hands-on experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, Romina and her colleagues at Genesis Behavior Center researched and refined their own unique, proven treatment for autism. Romina founded FirstPath because she wanted more children to receive this evidence-based treatment — treatment that has already improved the lives of hundreds of children and their families.

Jonnie York, RN
– Secretary

Jonnie York, RN, worked as a public health nurse with Stanislaus County, in the Child Health and Disease Prevention Department. Before retiring, she was the coordinator of the County’s Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program, working with providers taking care of pregnant women in the county. For the bulk of her career, Jonnie concentrated her efforts in-home and public health, connecting people to available services and seeing to unmet community needs. She served her community for many years through her local church as Missions/Outreach president, targeting the needs of the homeless, providing free and/or low-cost flu shot clinics, and building churches, schools, and rehabilitation facilities. Jonnie earned her BS in nursing from Point Loma University in San Diego.

Dr. Ahmed Sabry El Sokkary
– PsyD – Treasurer

Currently retired from education, Jim Mendonça served as a School Administrator, Instructor, and Instructional Aide for over 33 years in local school districts in both Stanislaus and Merced Counties.  During his tenure, Mr. Mendonça led several leadership committees in public schools providing both behavioral and academic support interventions for students in need.  Additionally, Jim worked in the establishment of Spanish Dual Language Immersion programs, as well as, a Portuguese Heritage Language program.

Throughout the years, Jim has been involved in various leadership roles in his local church.  He has organized and supported various activities servicing the community, including food drives and youth ministry outreach. 

As a community representative, Jim has had personal experiences where the services of FBHUCC have supported family members in need.
