Behavioral Health Clinician
Araceli Castillo MSW, ASW is a Behavioral Health Clinician at FBHUCC. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work with distinction from California State University, Stanislaus, as well as, her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Human Services. Araceli has experience working with a diverse population of different cultural backgrounds in the Central Valley. She has worked in non-profit organizations and school settings, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing case management, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services to children and families in her community. She has worked in a temporary emergency shelter for youth in crisis situations, as well as, worked with youth as part of a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program. She has knowledge and experience working as a social worker throughout Stanislaus County’s Child Welfare System assessing for the safety of children and connecting families to community resources. Using a Strength-Based Approach, she has helped individuals, dealing with a variety of different life struggles or stressors, feel empowered. Araceli understands there is strength in being able to work and communicate effectively with the children and families she works with, in order to properly assess and meet their needs. She also believes in building healthy relationships with community partnerships/resources in order to provide the best outcomes.
