Edward (Billy) Olpin
Billy has been working in the behavioral health field since 1996. He attended California State University Stanislaus and has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (communications, ethnic studies, and psychology) and a Master of Social Work degree. He has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2007.
Billy worked for 23 years for San Joaquin County beginning as a substance abuse worker and upon completing his education proceeded to fill most positions until retiring as Deputy Director of Substance Abuse, Homeless and Forensic Services. He also worked part time for 5 years at St. Joseph’s Behavioral Health performing psychiatric crisis evaluations for the behavioral health section on the hospital.
He began teaching at California State University Stanislaus, Assessment and the DSM, eventually moving to San Joaquin Delta College where he is currently part of the Social Sciences, Education and Public Service faculty.
